Hola Family and Friends!

It was a long day yesterday with two flights and a long layover, but stepping off the plane into 75 degree weather, palm trees, and our smiling guides waiting to greet us made it all worth it. Today we were up early to travel to Costa Rica's most famous river for white water rafting, El Rio Paquare. The students worked together through class three and four rapids owning the phrase "team work". We were so proud of them. The scenery was something out of a Jurassic Park film, and the students traveling down the pristine water learned about the indeginous people, the flora and fauna, and the geology of such a spectacular setting. Tonight we have travelled to the Caribbean side of the country, spending the night steps from the beach. Tomorrow we are off to our rain forest hike and day at the beach! Buenos Noches and Pura Vida!

  1. Happy Easter to all who celebrate this Holiday! It sounds like you are all on the adventure of a lifetime! No beautiful tress and warm weather here...I'm quite jealous! :) Glad you had such a wonderful time rafting...Your summaries were great, and Dianna, I think you have a future in stand up comedy...Enjoy all that today has in store! And I love you Mia! (sure you are rolling your eyes right now!)
