LANCE- A Cultural Dance
Yesterday was a very exciting day. We helped lots of children in need. It was very surprising to us that they were extremely happy with what they had and what we take for granted. they were all very excited about us coming to their school to help out. After the many greetings and fun activities to get us communicating they shared with us a cultural dance. the girls wore traditional dresses that had many colors and the boys wore white dress shirts and black dress pants and had a hat. they held little flags of different colors. throughout the dances there were patterns and movements that repeated a lot. the boys twirled the little flags and the girls twirled there dresses making a beautiful scene. it was really a sight to remember.

Sounds like you guys are having a great time while learning much about their culture. I would guess that dance was a variation of a "Guanacasteco" - one of the traditional dances from there.
ReplyDeleteLance - too bad you haven’t picked up how to Salsa and Merengue - after all the Latin parties I've taken you to...LOL.
Take lost of Pics buddy... see you soon.
