A nice set of wheels!

Pura Vida! We have arrived safe and happy in Costa Rica! Our flights went very smoothly - we were even 15 minutes early on our flight into San Jose (the capital of Costa Rica). After being greeted by our friendly, outgoing guides Roberto and Roxana, we were treated to a delicious snack of fresh tropical fruit and guacamole. We will be riding around in comfort this week - our group has a luxurious coach bus to take us to our various destinations. We then made a stop at an Office Max to buy school supplies with the money we raised from our fundraiser (a total of $75,000 colones!). We arrived at our first hotel, "La Rosa de America" situated in a garden full of indigenous palm trees, flowers of vibrant purples, yellows, and pinks, aromas of gardenias, and sounds of tropical birds. At the moment we are relaxing poolside as the students enjoy a friendly game of cards and exploring the property.
