Croc Hunting on the Rio Tarcoles

On our way to Manuel Antonio National Park we stopped in a small river village to take a boat tour. There were over two dozen different types of birds seen during the trip but the real draw were the crocodillos! Listen to the boys thoughts on the adventure along with the girls perspective on the positive and negative impacts this type of business have on the local river ecosystem.

A treat for tourists and the croc. Or is it?

Mr. Williams in his element!

Lots to see all around us. Keep hands inside at all times!

  1. Fun to listen to these budding young scientists after viewing the glorious accomodations video... it's all good! That was very interesting to hear the pro's and con's... do you suppose that the locals have thought as indepth as you have? We humans are very selfish and self-serving. Glad you were so enlightened with the situation. Hopefully it's a small area of a large river.
Thanks again for the posts... really exciting and so fun to see the interest in your faces!
Ryan J... is that a sun-burn on your left arm :o) Probably just the picture coloration!
    Keep having a blast!

  2. OK even though the pictures are amazing, this is the one part of the trip I could skip Chris. Although your Dad would probably Love it!. It is great to hear your voice. Hope you are taking lots of pictures because your cousins want to see them on Easter. The girls an I are taking a couple of days at the cottage - really quiet without you here too. A little sad that the trip is almost over but also can't wait to see you! Love Mom

Happy birthday to Mr. Williams! Dad, I'm sure you're seeing an incredible variety of birds. Hope everyone still has all their appendages, and enjoy the rest of the trip! Abrazos, Liz
